We will arrange a tour to visit some of the following famous places in Shanxi Province after the conference.
The costs primarily for the Mount Wutai is 550 yuan per one person, for Joe Grand Courtyard and one day trip to the Pingyao County is 350 yuan per one person. The costs may be to have a little trimming according to the tourist season.

Wutai Mountain (五台山)
Wutai Mountain locates in Wutai Country of Xinzhou City, and is regarded as the primary one among the four sacred Buddhism Mountains in China. It has five flat-topper peaks, namely the northern, southern, eastern, western and middle peaks. It is also called Qingliang (clear and cool) mountain because of its pleasant climate in summer. There are 47 temples altogerther around the area. China's oldest wooden structures are well preserved in Foguang Temple and Nanchan Temple. Wutai Moutain reflects the Buddhism development of China though its ancient architecture complex and rich Buddhism remains. Wutai Mountain was listed as a state level scenic spot by the State Council in 1982, and is the tentative list of the First group of National Natural and Cultural Heritage issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in 2006. In June 2009, Wutai Mountain was inscribed in the list of the World Heritage as a cultural landscape by UNESCO.
Pingyao ancient city (平遥古城)
Pingyao ancient city, listed as a cultural heritage of the world, is a typical example of Chinese Han nationality cities with a history of 2800 years. It reveals cultural, economic and religious development in Chinese history.
Courtyard of Family Qiao (乔家大院)
Standing in Qiaojia Village, 12 km northeast of the downtown of Qixian County, the castle-like grand courtyard is the estate of Zaizhongtang of the Qiao family in Qixian. Zaizhongtang is the hall name of Qiao Zhiyong, the third generation of the Qiao family and a well-known commercial capitalist both at home and abroad during the Qing Dynasty (1616-19H). The courtyard has become world-famous because the movie Raise the Red Lantern was filmed here. It was built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1736-1795) in the Qing Dynasty.
Yungang Grottoes in Datong (大同云冈石窟)
Yungang Grottoes, one of the three major cave clusters in China, punctuate the north cliff of Wuzhou Mountain, Datong. The area was excavated along the mountain, extending 1 km (0.62 miles) from east to west, revealing 53 caves and over 51,000 stone statues. The grottoes are divided into east, middle, and west parts. Pagodas dominate the eastern parts; west caves are small and mid-sized with niches. Caves in the middle are made up of front and back chambers with Buddha statues in the center. Embossing covers walls and ceilings.
Jinci-Tianlong Mountain (晋祠-天龙山)
Situated in Taiyuan (Capital city of Shanxi Province), Jinci-Tianlong Mountain Scenic Spot includes two scenic resorts, which are Jinci (Memrial Hall to the founding fathers of the Jin Kingdom) and the Tianlong Mountain. Congregating Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism buildings together, Jinci not only enjoys magnificent ancient architecture complex but also beautiful natural scenery. Its fames three wonders include the Longevity Spring, the forty-two maid statues of the Song Dynasty and the Goddess Statue. The Buddhism grottoes in the Tianlong Mountain are particularly fantastic, where dozens of grotto temples, monasteries, pagodas, ancient tablets and other historical relics still exist. The Jinci-Tianlong Mountain Scenic Spot was listed as a provincial level scenic spot by the Shanxi Provincial Government in 1987.
