Prof. Kazuyuki Aihara


About the Speaker
He received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering in 1977 and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering in 1982 from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan.  Currently, he is Professor of Institute of Industrial Science, Professor of Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Professor of Graduate School of Engineering, and Director of Collaborative Research Center for Innovative Mathematical Modelling at the University of Tokyo.  His research interests include mathematical modeling of biological systems, parallel distributed processing with chaotic neural networks, and time series analysis of complicated data.
